project : re-imagine entry space using bent plywood as the principal material
This design intervention reimagines a wall as a dynamic surface that has the capacity to unpack and transform to accommodate for programs the space currently fails to accommodate. The design involves two components: a module and a lattice. A stacking module provides opportunities for students to create a variety of different surfaces ranging from seats to tables to shelf and display surfaces. The lattice is meant to be atmospheric as well as didactic as a tool for users to understand one particular method of stacking the 150 modules, which is coincidentally number required in order to fill the entire wall creating a dense mass.
